The main interest of the VISL LEGO Lab is to develop vision
based applications that can be of interest as simulation for real systems
(e.g. self-navigating vehicles). Another interest is the development of
'smart mobile robots' using artificial intelligence.
Currently a standard LEGO vehicle is being developed to be used for general
computer vision projects. This vehicle includes a self developed ultrasonic
sensor for distance estimation, a multi-purpose rechargable battery pack
and a wireless video camera and a PC based software solution for video
capture controlling of the robot.
